Waccamaw Economic Opportunity Council, Inc., (WEOC) was chartered as a Community Action Agency on December 6, 1965 to serve Horry and Georgetown Counties.  The Agency's tax exempt status, 501(c)(3), was established on March 29, 1966.  An expansion to include Williamsburg County occurred on July 1, 1974. 

The Agency's Main Office is located at 1261 Highway 501 East which is past the City of Conway towards Myrtle Beach.  At this location are the Administrative, Community Services, and Weatherization offices.
